Lexington County School District Three, like all districts in our state, has experienced the greatest challenges we have ever known during the last two years as we balanced the health and safety of our students, staff, and community with the mission of our district to prepare every student for the future...now.

As a result of pandemic challenges as well as the overwhelming stress felt by students, staff, parents, and administrators due to quarantines and ongoing COVID-19 issues, the Board of Trustees and Administration of Lexington School District Three have changed Monday, November 22, 2021 and Tuesday, November 23, 2021 to eLearning Days. (Please note that our Thanksgiving Break will start on Wednesday, November 24th and will run through Friday, November 26th as previously scheduled. All staff and students will return to school for their regular schedules on Monday, November 29th.)

The eLearning Days on November 22nd and 23rd will be set aside for asynchronous content mastery which means that teachers will provide each student with content he/she has not yet mastered or needs to resubmit in order to improve his/her grade. Students will have the option to work on these assignments in an asynchronous format which means each student will complete the assignments at his/her own pace and within the week of November 22nd. There will be no scheduled class meetings during the week of November 22nd. All assignments will be sent home and/or posted in Google Classroom on Friday, November 19th and should be submitted via individual teacher directions either through Google Classroom or in-person upon return to school on Monday, November 29, 2021.

Our Board of Trustees and Administration deeply appreciate all of the hard work and perseverance that every member of our Panther family continues to demonstrate during these incredibly difficult times. We hope that each member of our learning community will take time to renew and rest during the Thanksgiving holidays so that we can return healthy and safe to finish the first semester strong!
