Dear BLMS Parent/Guardian,
Students in 6th - 8th grades will participate in the South Carolina College and Career - READY Assessments (SC READY) this spring. These statewide assessments will assist us in monitoring your child’s academic growth and comprehension of the South Carolina College and Career Ready Standards.
Our students will have the opportunity to take these tests online for reading, writing, math and science (6th grade only) via Chromebooks in their homeroom. Please be sure your child’s Chromebook is being charged at home the night before the testing dates. The tentative testing schedule is below, and you will be notified if any changes are made. It is important that your child is present for all scheduled testing. Please avoid making appointments on these days and help us prevent unnecessary absences. Please have students arrive by 8:00 AM. All electronic devices (including cell phones and smart watches) will be collected from each student prior to testing. Please consider keeping these items at home on test days. If you have any concerns regarding the SC READY assessments, please contact your child’s teacher.
