Bus Tracking App

Parents of students in Lexington County School District Three whose children ride buses can now download a new app to track their child's bus in real-time. The app, called My Ride K-12, is compatible with Apple devices, Android phones, and is accessible via the web. The district recently piloted the program with students who ride buses 9 and 11 and it has been a great success, so we are excited to now offer it to all Lexington Three bus riders.

So how does it work? My Ride K-12 ensures that parents and guardians can only view their own child's transportation data, thus ensuring that student information is secure. The app's user-friendly interface provides real-time information, including bus stop locations, assigned routes, and daily scheduled pick-up and drop-off times.

Parents who wish to participate can download the My Ride K-12 app from the Apple Store or Google Play. Bus tracking is also available online at https://myridek12.tylerapp.com/login. To participate, parents must create an account with the My Ride K-12 program, which requires entering their child’s state-issued ID number. This number can only be obtained by contacting the Transportation Department at 803-532-8007. (Please note that state-issued identification numbers are not available in PowerSchool and are different from a student’s school identification number.)

Parents of students who ride buses 9 and 11 who participated in the pilot program do not have to do anything further. We thank everyone for their support.
