New Panther Pantry At B-L Middle School Aims To Help Students In Need

It’s a known fact that the middle school years are some of the toughest as students transition from children to young adults.  These teenage years can be made even harder for less fortunate students who may not have access to everyday items such as clean clothing, hygiene products and shoes.  That’s why B-L Middle School teacher Tristin Padgett came up with the idea of The Panther Pantry--an in-school supply room where students can discreetly shop for everyday items they may need and otherwise, not be able to afford.

Red Ribbon Week

Oct. 28-Nov. 1 we will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week! We have a week full of fun theme days that we would like you all to participate in!

Monday (10/28) Wear PINK day. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so let us show our support.

Tuesday (10/29) DECADE day. Wear an outfit from a different decade. The 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s are great decades to choose from.

Wednesday (10/30) CAREER day. Dress for the career you would like to have in the future. Will you be a Doctor? Counselor? Veterinarian? Architect? Teacher? Farmer? Artists? Mayor? Construction Manager? Restaurant owner?

Thursday (10/31) HERO day. On Halloween come dressed like your hero. This can be a family member, a celebrity, or a historical figure! We can't wait to see who inspires you.

Friday (11/1) TEAM day. Wear your favorite team's shirt/jersey/etc. Remember teams don't have to be just Football teams, they can be baseball, soccer, softball, volleyball, and any other team you can think of.
